The East Harbour Company

The East Harbour Company (Austurhöfn-TR ehf. in Icelandic) is a private company, founded in 2003 by the Icelandic State (54%) and the city of Reykjavík (46%), working to prepare the East Harbour Project; the construction of a concert hall and conference centre by Reykjavík's East Harbour.

In 2009, following the economic collapse in 2008, The East Harbour Company took over Portus and Sistus, the companies that were in charge of the construction of the centre following a tender. The East Harbour Company took over all rights and duties that came with the contract for the building and running of the concert hall and conference centre, and the sister companies Portus and Situs are now subsidiaries of The East Harbour Company.
